"Headquarters" almost complete!
I haven't been writing much about garden "C"...look at the lovely food we have growing here...Cimmaron and Buttercrunch lettuces, scallions and White radishes! Tonight was the first mini-harvest of the season and these were delicious in the salad! Today marked the addition of three new garden beds, a total of 70 square feet to plant many of my seedlings in! Garden "C" is shaping up to be the picturesque "headquarters" of the up-and-coming farm.

Your pictures are so beautifull! They remeber me when I was a little girl and I used to live in a farmer.........
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Great pics! I grew up on a farm and know there is nothing like it with all the fresh veggies. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI'm an avid reader of your blog and I have a question...I planted lettece in large pots because I live in an apt. unfortunately my lettece are all now starting to dry out...that's so weird. I water them daily and they are on my balcony where they get 4 hours of sun everyday...what's going on? Can you help me so my lettece can do better. My tomatoes & peppers plants are doing great though. This is my blog.

Thank you.
Great blog and an amazing project. I wish you all the best with it and will be keeping up with your posts. Can't wait for a few "homegrown" recipes! All the best Natalie's Kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI think your efforts will lead to satisfaction no matter what happens. In my recent past I was deflated by my neighbors cat using my very cherished new soil and raised bed as a play pen and litter box. I was in a cat poop funk and then when their dog managed to cover every seedling it seemed with his paws one day, his owner got rude and hostile towards me for just opening my mouth to ask about it, negative feelings were souring. I let it go and days later the marvel of a mesclun salad with all sorts of unusual greens turned it all around again.
